DDD

Never knew that Greg and Sonja were raising a couple of rednecks...or at least one. Ivan announced to us last night that his first derby - the Dillon Demolition Derby - "was fantastic!" He was so glued to the 3 hour crash-up, bang-up, smash-up that we couldn't even get his face in the photos. Liza was "cared (scared) beduz it so loud."

And the winner is...Ivan's pick, #729! Too bad we weren't betting in the Calcutta.

A Three-Hour Tour

We love our space on Laknar Lane. So much of it is grass however, that we not only were forced to purchase a lawn mower - but a RIDING lawnmower - with 7 gears! This is our first grass-cutting machine, as we borrowed Sonja's sister's push one the entire 3 1/2 years we lived in IF (thanks, Tome!). It's great entertainment for Ivan and quality time for Greg - getting to drive the 'tractor' together. Liza and Sonja are assured at least 3 hours of girl-time when the weekly job tops the chores list.

Gettin' Crafty

Building birdhouses and big ships are good activities when the weather gets rainy and cold like it was at the beginning of this week. GMa Janie has over-supplied Ivan and Liza with such attention-focused projects that they seem to manage on their own fairly well. And good thing, because Daddy needed to rest for several days....headache, clogged noggin, cough, ache....yep, whatever that virus is that we've become accustomed to preparing for in the wintertime is now hitting us in the summertime too. Hopefully people get their flu shots this year and STAY HOME when they're sick!!!
