We got together for our first night on the town in Dillon. We went to the local bowling alley. We did not break any records for score but we may have set a record for setting off the foul buzzer.

We are moving...I Promise.
We still have not moved yet. It seems as if we have been telling people that we are moving for about a year now. Some of you are probably beginning to think this is one of my stories that does not end up being completely true. I can not blame you. None the less we are moving. Really. I swear. It is true. Really.
We spent some time up north because it is easier to keep our house clean enough to sell if we are not in it. My parents are always very gracious hosts, especially when we bring their grandchildren. As always the kids loved the visit to the Carousel for Missoula. Ivan even rode the horses by himself. We also did some major sledding at Grandma and Grandpa's sledding hill.

"Be Mine!" 2009
Lolo graced us with some sweet first-time-skiin' snow...fun with Team Taslia!
Valentines & Presidents Days allowed foursome long weekend togetherness. Thanks to GMa/Pa Shadow for letting us descend on your space. PLUS, GMa/Pa Scott are both home and recovering well...must have been all those good vibes...and soon to be moving into much-anticipated new and improved accommodations.

GMaPa Scott
Grandma Mary Ann and Grandpa Richard are both having a tough go with their individual health. Send loving and healthful thoughts their way!
For a few months GPa had been in IF with some of the family and just recently reunited with GMa in Illinois. Just days after arrival, GPa was in a situation that needed more medical attention than GMa had to give, living with her own daily doses of medications and dietary rules. GPa went to the hospital and will be participating in some therapy through a nursing home for a couple of weeks.
In the midst of using every last bit of strength and time to assist GPA, GMa started experiencing issues with the function of her kidneys. We learned this week that GMa is also now in the hospital, and we are standing by for more information.
WE LOVE YOU Grandma & Grandpa! - Mom & Dad!

NASA meets Red Green
Today the kids wanted to make rockets. I said "sure we can make rockets." I began searching the garage for rocket building supplies. Surprisingly, I found quite a few things that I believe could be used to construct a real rocket. However, since I have most of my tools packed for the move and the garage relatively clean, I decided we would not try to build an actual rocket. We instead scavenged around the house and used the following supplies:
2 discarded Diet Shasta boxes
1 bottle Elmers Glue
3 tbls butter, melted
5 large eggs, beaten
1 cup cottage cheese
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
One 4 ounce can diced green chiles
1/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Salt
Whisk together
bake in 8 inch square baking dish
at 350 degrees or until firm (+/- 35 minutes)
7 rolls Duct Tape
12 rolls Masking tape
3 cracked fishing bobbers
Assorted washable markers
We assembled these few items into rockets that meet the impeccable standards of a 4 and 2 year old. While they slumber in cosmic fantasies I am going to make dinner..... now if I can only find where I put that Cheddar, Chile and Egg Casserole recipe.
